The Brambila Method-What do you do when it goes quiet?
Being the side hustle rookie I still am, I naively thought "Yes we're off!"
Two weeks on and I'm still waiting for that elusive 6th Fiverr gig?
I'm also trying to wait, patiently for any sales from any of my other ventures.
Here are the stats as of the week commencing 8th November.
1) Redbuddle POD designs uploaded 229-sales still 02) Amazon POD journals created 76-sales still 03) E courses created and uploaded 2= Sales 04) Enquiries from website=05) Brand deals=06) Honourary degrees from local Universities=07) Knighthoods=08) Offers to host my own late night chat show=0As well as developing a blog to chart my hopeful progression from Rookie,to a bit less rookie I want to try and pass on any wisdom if and where I see it. The Brambila Method Bram Fam Facebook group are as a supportive collection of people that I've met. That said, like anything there is always room for improvement.
When you start anything new, especially anything online,it's lonely. I imagine when you're not new you quickly forget how lonely or how hard the struggle was at the start.Maybe this is just an effective natural selection.A way of weeding out those who aren't really as committed as they may have initially said they were.
A few,in the middle of the nights, ago I found myself scrolling through Tik Tok. It was the result of being woken by a three year old, who after being sufficiently cuddled and reassured that Polar bears aren't indigenous to Sussex, drifted off to sleep and left me wide awake.
I watched a great post from Gary Vee about what, I agree with,is probably a much healthier and more effective way to monitor growth and progress in your chosen field.
Click on this image below to watch it.
So, to echo Gary Vee, chasing more subscribers or followers is possibly not the best way to gauge your improvement. In contrast, focussing on improving your skills and making customers happier by consistently exceeding their expectations is a better way. It's also measurements you can influence.
This is probably why the people in the know like Gary often suggest that the best way to see if you're content is getting better is to see if people are watching your content for longer.
Wherever you are in the World I hope you and your family are doing okay.
James
I got this idea while listening to a recent webinar of Adrian's of The Brambila Method fame.I'm trying to improve my blog writing skills to hopefully get more gigs, okay get a gig,🤣 on Fiverr.
I have started this blog not only to document my journey from exhausted slave to the 9 to 5 dad, to hopefully, financially free dad.I'd also like,if possible, to use it as a vehicle to promote and support other Brambila people.
Therefore if you would be interested in being interviewed by me either on video via zoom or editorial please let me know.
Have a great day.
Love James
